Sivaraman (Mohanlal) came to Mumbai to find Govindan Kutty (Mukesh) who has offered him a visa. But Sivaraman finds Govindan himself in an ocean of problems.

Cirumstances led Sivaraman to participate in a bank robbery planned by Thomas and his gang, which puts them in more trouble. And they impersonate as Kunjunni with the body of Govindan kutty and sound of Sivaraman in the house of a rich but blind elderly couple.^[4] Kunjunni was the couple's grandson, who had left them a long time ago.

Thenmavin Kombathu is an Indian movie released in 1994 directed and written by Priyadarshanand featuring Mohanlal, Shobana, Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Sukumari ,KPAC Lalitha and Shankaradi. K V Anand and Sabu Cyril won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography and Art Direction respectively for their work in the film. Music directors Berny-Ignatius bagged the Kerala State Film Award for best music.^[1].
The story revolves around Manikyan(Mohanlal),Sreekrishnan(Nedumudi Venu) and Karthumbi(Shobana) and the love triangle between them.
