2 HARIHAR NAGAR Malayalam Movie

2 Harihar Nagar is a 2009 Malayalam film directed, written, and produced by Lal. The film is both a sequel and a prequel to In Harihar Nagar, chronicling the story of four intimate friends Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindan Kutty (Siddique), Appukuttan (Jagadish), and Thomas Kutty (Ashokan).

The movie begins in front of a church in 1980 when the foursome first become friends. The scene is transitioned by the quote "Thomasootty Vittodaa!".

It proceeds to introduce each of the four friends' life. Mahadevan is married with one daughter. He is a teacher. Govindan Kutty is a "businessman" whose wife works in Dubai. He is preparing to leave to Harihar Nagar just like Mahadevan and Appukuttan who is a dentist and often fights with his wife and kids (possibly twins). They are all going to Harihar Nagar for Thomasootty's wedding and preceding ceremonies.

While they meet, they come up with the idea of being 'younger' and enjoying the 10 or so days that they stay together. Reluctantly Appukuttan throws away his glasses. Mahadevan suggest that they make problems in the neighborhood because according to him, with problems come youth.

While staying at Govindan Kutty's house, they are greeted with flowers left at the doorstep with a name tag "Maya". Immediately thinking that this is their old Maya, they go to meet her. They barely miss her, but Appukuttan throws a rock and breaks her car's rear window. An anonymous woman steps out of the car. But it is not "their" Maya. They are immediately arrested. Later, "Maya" comes and gets them out of jail saying that they are her friends and didn't recognize it because she hadn't seen them in a long time. Once out, she says not to bother her anymore because of this. Maya lives right across Govindan Kutty's house. So trying to find the weakness that will draw her attention, one night Appukuttan looks over on to the window and is frightened by the sight of a ghostly figure with a "burned" face. Thomasootty is not staying with the other 3 on that night, but he arrives the next morning. Mahadevan says a sentimental story to make Maya not believe that they're here for the wrong reasons. She later comes and visits them and becomes their friend. A hilarious sequence follows, which ends in apparent tragedy when the other three see Thomaskutty being killed by a bomb.

The movie is all about the relationships between two rare bred men from extremely different strata of society, but more in common than is apparent from the first look. They might have never run into each other, with their stark contrast in nature and life styles and would have hardly given each other a second look, if they hadn't met in these defined circumstances. But the movie throws them together, intertwined in worst of their days and progressively built in the rapport between the extremes, and infuses the spirit of worthy and meaningful life to all in the screen and those who watches them on screen.

Mammootty plays the lead role Mike Philippose, a barefooted uneducated simpleton who lands in the city, armoured with his loud voice, opinions and dazzling wit to stand up with the different level of etiquette's he find in the flats of the city. His arrival is as a kidney donor to ailing Anand Menon, an astrophysicist who returned to his home nation after working in US for the last forty six years. A dejected man who wants to run away from his memories, Menon is turned into the reverse track by Mike, who lives with his memories and snobs about his deceased father and about the silent hamlet of Thopramkudy.

The movie packs a lot of characters like the old man (Janardhanan) in legal tussle with his children, the fighting couple (Kalpana and Reghu) who even doesn't like to see face to face, a secretary of the flat residents (Jagathy) who only has a dog for his company, a group of loud bachelors and a kid who turns a brat, left alone and away from her parents.

Rasathantram Malayalam Movie

Premachandran (Mohanlal) is a carpenter who lives along with his father, Balan Master (Bharath Gopi), and works along with his friend, Manikandan (Innocent). They are now working on a house near the house of a rich landlord. Kanmani (Meera Jasmine), who was sold by her mother, works in that house as a servant and is ill-treated. Seethamma (KPAC Lalitha) lives along with her daughter, Kumari (Muthumani), who has a liking towards Premachandran. One night, Premachandran goes to his workplace to take his tools. He sees Kanmani leaving the house and is puzzled. He follows her. She was on the verge of committing suicide when Premachandran rescues her. He gives her shelter in one room in a building owned by Chettiyar (Oduvil Unnikrishnan), telling Chettiyar that his friend did not get the bus to go back home. Kanmani dresses up as a boy by the name of Velayithun Kutty and soon starts working with Manikandan and Premachandran. Balan Master starts liking the disguised boy. One day, Premachandran tells Kanmani that he has planned to rescue her by sending her to Tamil Nadu to work in a banian company where Premachandran's friend is working. Kanmani refueses to go. Premachandran accidentally confesses to Manikandan that Velayithun Kutty is actually the missing Kanmani. Manikandan has no peace and shouts out the truth in the middle of the night. Two policemen, accidentally hear this and take Premachandran and Kanmani into custody.

Kanmani tells the court that she and Premachandran are in love and intended to elope. She said this, to avoid imprisonment. Soon, Kanmani develops an affection towards Premachandran. Premachandran tells her that she doesn't know anything about him and that he is an ex-convict in a murder case. Actually, Premachandran's friend Sivan (Mukesh) murdered a hooligan who abused Premachandran's sister. Kanmani now agrees to go to Tamil Nadu, but Premachandran doesn't let her go and admits her in a hostel. Premachandran's brother, Siddique, comes to the fray and asks Balan Master to attend his daughter's marriage. He asks that Premachandran not come. Actually, Balan Master & Premachandran are living far away from home because of the bad nature shown by Premachandran's brother and sister. Balan Master is not willing to go without Premachandran. Premachandran who loves his niece as his daughter changes Balan Master's mind, by going with him without anybody knowing he is there. On returning, they see their rented house being destroyed. Balan Master takes shelter in a old age home headed by a retired Colonel until a new house can be rented. Premachandran goes to Kochi to meet Sivan - who is now a business tycoon, but Sivan doesn't meet Premachandran's needs. On returning, Premachandran finds out that Balan Master is dead. He performs the ceremonial rites and goes to Kanmani. Meanwhile, Kanmani's so called uncle (Jagathty Sreekumar) - who wants to marry Kanmani - and his sister have court orders to take Kanmani back to Tamil Nadu. But, Premachandran grabs the "thali mala" from Jagathy's character, ties the knot on Kanmani and subsequently marries her.

Runway Malayalam Movie

Top actors are often accused of playing safe, hardly venturing beyond the carefully constructed matrix of image. Only seldom they try to experiment or do roles that go farther than their traditional ken.

After seeing Dileep's Runway you understand the reasons for them. This big-budget action genre is a new one for Dileep, cast as he is mostly in a boy-next-door kind of roles. At the end of it all, you almost feel: 'it is better if Dileep had preferred to play a role that he is comfortable with'. Dileep is also let down by a tepid script and some loose direction from the veteran Joshy.

 Having said all this, Runway also has its tender moments. The film revolves around Unni (Dileep) who dupes his family that he is working in Gulf but in reality involved in the illegal spirit business with Bhai (Murali). Unni runs errands for the terrorizing Chinnadan (Riyaz Khan) in Valayar area. Unni, however, is forced to tell about his other side to Gopika (Kavya Madhavan) who his mother is insistent that he should marry. Things come to a head when Unni's brother (Indrajeet) becomes a police officer. As it happens, he is honest and tough-as-nails and gets posted in the Valayar area where, by now, Unni and Bhai have become big-time operators. And not surprisingly, with his brother breathing down his neck, Unni wants to turn a new leaf. Is it possible for him to shed the all-reaching tentacles of the underworld? Will the baddies of the underworld allow him to change? The rest of the film is all about that.

 Dileep, as Unni, is first-rate, especially when he builds stories about how things are 'back in Gulf'. Those are typical Dileep stuff. But as the operator among criminals, Dileep looks a misfit as he neither has the stature (in the physical sense) or nor the oozing menace. But he plods on manfully. Kavya, as his ladylove, passes muster. But her role is too brief. The standouts of the film are however Indrajeet and Murali. Both revel in their characters; Indrajeet in particular as the policeman (shades of Shashi Kapoor in Deewar) is positively brilliant.

 The music by Suresh Peters is contemporary but lacks the feel. The film has also been shot in scenic locations like Phuket (Thailand). But they look like needless ostentation. Joshy, the director lets slips opportunities as he treads the masala movie path.

Chacko Master (Thilakan) is a high-school headmaster who is a president's medal winner in Mathematics. He is a very strict teacher and emphasizes memorization and discipline at the expense of analysis and creativity in school. He punishes his students ruthlessly and gives no special treatment to his son Thomas, who is also a student in his class. Chacko always assumes that his son is behind every mischief in class, and punishes him until the actual culprit gives himself in.

Unlike his father, Thomas isn't too good in math (he cannot memorize the binomial theorem) but he is very creative and productive in designing mechanical and electronic gadgetry like a mechanical school bell which his father destroys later. For instance, he impresses his mother and sister by developing an AM radio receiver inside a soap-case at a time when phonographs were more prevalent in his village. When his father finds out about the receiver he throws it into flames and destroys it; he forces his son to focus on his studies instead of being an inventor. Thomas works hard, and he does well in his language paper, but his dad asks his language teacher to grade his paper with no leniency, so that he gets a low grade. When he finds out that even his most beloved language teacher was biased against him he becomes outraged. He runs away from home.

Fourteen years later, he returns to his village. Thomas, by now, had changed into a totally different person. He was no longer interested in clockwork and gadgetry; he owned a stone quarry and had become a well known rowdy wanted by the authorities as a prime suspect in many unsolved crimes. His father still hated him and never accepted him as family. But as the film progresses, both father and son regret what they had done to each other. In an interesting turn of events the father and the son reunite in a very emotional way.

Thenmavin Kombathu is an Indian movie released in 1994 directed and written by Priyadarshanand featuring Mohanlal, Shobana, Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Sukumari ,KPAC Lalitha and Shankaradi. K V Anand and Sabu Cyril won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography and Art Direction respectively for their work in the film. Music directors Berny-Ignatius bagged the Kerala State Film Award for best music.^[1].
The story revolves around Manikyan(Mohanlal),Sreekrishnan(Nedumudi Venu) and Karthumbi(Shobana) and the love triangle between them.
